An overwhelming smell of animal feces and urine, with the floor covered in feces; that is how Evansville Police described the living conditions inside a home in Evansville.

Police were called to assist animal control with the removal of animals from the house in the 1200 block of Oakley Street around 6 p.m. Friday.

Officers, along with Animal Control, went inside the house to take pictures of the animals’ living conditions.

Police say they were overwhelmed by the smell of feces and urine, and there was no working A/C.

Animal Control reportedly removed six dogs and an unknown number of cats.

So far, no arrests have been made.
