Anti-smoking activists aim to change Kentucky laws

(WEHT) – Anti-smoking activists are hoping to change Kentucky laws and give local governments more control over regulating tobacco companies.

The Coalition for a Smoke-Free Tomorrow says local governments in Kentucky are prohibited, preempted, by state law from regulating how tobacco products are marketed and sold in communities.

The coalition’s steering committee has added changing this law to its 2021 legislative agenda.
