Art and music enthusiasts gather for an afternoon of ‘Funk In The City’. The annual art festival at Haynie’s Corner attracts regional artists as well as those from other states. Hundreds attended the festival on Washington and Second Street. Visitors were able to enjoy live music, a variety of food, paintings, photography and hand made jewelry. The festival is in its 12 th year. Organizers say events like this characterize the city’s arts district. A portion of today’s proceeds will be used to promote and preserve the art’s district and the historic Alhambra theatre.
