AseraCare Hospice in Evansville hosts the 5th annual “Butterfly to Remember” memorial at Oak Hill Cemetery.
It’s an event remembering and honoring those in the community who have passed away.
Eyewitness News’ Christina Van Zelst was at the cemetery.
Everyone will receive a live butterfly to release in honor of a loved one who has passed away.
Butterfly encounters are mentioned after the loss of a loved one and many think it’s a symbol from the soul who passed, giving those grieving hope.
Christina talked with people there about what butterflies mean to them, hear their thoughts coming up on Eyewitness News at 10.
