He drove into a Webster County deputy in the process.
Troopers fired shots at Branson’s car, and he took off.
After a short pursuit, Branson was taken into custody on Kentucky 132 in Dixon.
He is now facing several charges, including 5 counts of attempted murder, with one being on the police officer.
That deputy was treated at Baptist Health in Madisonville and released.
