Authorities get possible lead in search for missing Kentucky woman

Kentucky authorities have uncovered human remains during their search for a missing mother.

The remains were found on a property in Garrard County late Thursday night.

Savannah Spurlock, a mother of four, was last seen on January 4, leaving a Lexington bar with three men.

State Police say the house under search belongs to a relative of one of the three people with whom Spurlock was last seen.

The three men have denied any involvement in Spurlock’s disappearance.

A tip led police to the property, although authorities would not specify what was said.

News outlets say the property was initially searched during the early stages of the investigation.

Police say no one has been taken into custody.

The FBI’s Louisville office said its evidence response team was at the scene.

The remains were taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for autopsy and identification.

Police are waiting for an autopsy to confirm the identity of the remains.
