Baker Sentenced 45 Years in 2016 Shooting

Kyle Baker was sentenced to 45 years in prison on Monday.

Baker was charged in the shooting death of Robert Ocke-Hall in April of 2016.

The verdict is in for a man accused in an Evansville murder trial.

The Vanderburgh Co. Prosecutor’s Office tells Eyewitness News a jury found Kyle Baker guilty of voluntary manslaughter Wednesday afternoon. Baker also entered a guilty plea to a firearm enhancement felony charge.

Kyle Baker was charged in the shooting death of Robert Ocke-Hall’s outside Royal Inn Motel on Fares Ave. in April 2016.

Baker’s sentencing is scheduled for June 5 . He’s expected to face 10-30 years for the  voluntary manslaughter charge and  5-20 years in jail for the firearm enhancement charge.
