Hoosiers hit the polls in bigger numbers for this year’s midterm elections.
Indiana Secretary of State Connie Lawson says 51 percent of Indiana’s registered voters cast a ballot in November’s election. Lawson says that marks the highest midterm turnout in more than 20 years.
Indiana has about 4.5 million registered voters, and around 2.3 million cast a ballot. Lawson says 32 percent of voters cast a ballot early, which is double the percentage of 2014.
