Blight Elimination Funds Approved for Tri-State City

A second round of blight elimination funds from the state has been approved for Evansville.

The city will receive almost 680,000 dollars will be used to demolish 31 blighted residential structures.

42,000 dollars of that money will go to maintaining the property for three years after demolition.

A meeting is being held Tuesday at the CK Newsome Center from 6 to 7 for the public to come out and hear the impact the blight elimination will have on the community.
