If you were anywhere near Owensboro today, you probably heard and saw them.
The Blue Angels, and other planes, filled the skies above Owensboro for the air show this afternoon.
Earlier this afternoon, the Owensboro riverfront was packed with thousands of people, all looking up as the Blue Angels performed for the Owensboro Air Show.
The team was the last of eight performers for Saturday’s show, showing off different maneuvers and flight patterns. The crowd was filled with both first time watchers and long time fans. Many say they were impressed.
“I liked it when they spin,” said Eberle Goebel of Owensboro. “Because it was really cool.”
“I, personally, am an aviation nut, so I just try to keep up with them. Some of the stuff they do, they change their routine and stuff around. So, I come to see the new stuff,” adds Shawn Turner of Harrisburg, Illinois.
If you missed today’s show, the Blue Angels are scheduled to be back out here for tomorrow as the air show continues from 12:30 to 4:30 Sunday afternoon.
