Bluegrass Hall of Fame member to perform in Owensboro

A Bluegrass Hall of Fame member will be performing in Owensboro later this year.

Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver will be performing “A Bluegrass Christmas” on December 15, 2018 at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

Doyle Lawson will be performing “A Bluegrass Christmas” in the Woodward Theatre. Lawson began his career playing with Bluegrass icons, including Jimmy Martin, JD Crowe, and The Country Gentlemen before forming his own band, Quicksilver, in 1979.

With nearly 40 albums, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver have multiple Grammy, Dove, ICM, IBMA and SPBGMA Award nominations, and are seven-time winners of IBMA’s Vocal Group of the Year.

In 2012, Lawson was inducted into the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame at the Ryman Auditorium.

Tickets are on sale now. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are available online at: bluegrassmuseum.org/tickets.
