The Evansville Water and Sewer Utility launches a communication effort called “Clear Path” to make property owners award of the federal mandate to clean and inspect more than 600 miles of sewer lines.
EWSU officials say they are about halfway done with the sewer overhaul and are on track to inspect and clean all sewer lines by November 1, 2017. But the city says it is encountering situations where access to easements and manholes are blocked by minor obstructions, such as plants and fencing, to major obstructions such as garages and swimming pools.
Brad Byrd talks with Water and Sewer Utility Director Allen Mounts about the ongoing sewer overhaul and how property owners could be impacted by obstructions blocking access to easements and manholes. More information on the “Clear Path” effort can be found by clicking here.
