EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – A ribbon-cutting is scheduled for Wednesday for Evansville’s newest grocery store.
The Crossroads IGA next to Harrison High School will cut the ribbon on its facility at 10 a.m.
The store has been in the planning and construction stages for several years.
Part of the work for the new store included eliminating the hill where the building stands.
Its early planning caused controversy as many in an adjacent neighborhood spoke out against its development.
Houchens Industries will operate the store.
