Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson handily won the presidential straw poll at a conference in Oklahoma this weekend.

It happened at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference.

It’s the first major survey in the south.

Carson took 25%, leading the pack of nearly 20 candidates.

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker came in second with 20% of the vote followed by Texas Senator Ted Cruz with 16%.

Carson announced his presidential run earlier this month.
