Ceremonial bill signing held for legislation aimed at helping injured K9s

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind (WEHT)– Governor Eric Holcomb put pen to paper during a ceremonial bill signing for a law focused on treating hurt K9 officers.

Representative Wendy McNamara authored the bill which passed through the Indiana House and Senate earlier this year. It allows EMS workers to transport wounded K9s to the veterinarian clinic.

The ceremonial signing was delayed earlier this year due to COVID-19.
