City leaders to repeal annexation of nine Daviess County school properties

Owensboro city leaders plan to repeal the annexation of nine Daviess County school properties into city limits.
Last month, the city commission approved the annexation, which would put more than 1,000 employees under a higher occupational tax rate.
After negotiations with the Daviess County Public Schools, city officials decided to rescind the ordinance.
The city commission held its first reading Tuesday night and are scheduled to have a final vote on Thursday.
