Indiana Department of Education delays state testing

Coronavirus Watch Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WEHT) – The Indiana Department of Education is delaying state testing.

The department announced in a letter sent to superintendents Friday that it has requested forgiveness for required state assessments from state and federal authorities. If granted, state tests – including IREAD-3, ISTEP+ and ILEARN – would not be given this year at all.

While the state waits for forgiveness guidance from the state and US Department of Education, all state testing is postponed.

Right now, there are not any confirmed cases of coronavirus in our Tri-State area.
