VINCENNES, Ind. (WEHT)- While Vincennes University is exclusively using online learning for the rest of the semester, that doesn’t mean students and faculty aren’t staying connected.

Using virtual chat room, Slack, professors are connecting with students about more than just classwork. Assistant professors Greg Hirsch and Lorrie Ann Thompson asked students how their pets felt about stay-at-home orders while assistant professor Kris Locklin shared a toilet paper calculator with students.

The university says interactions like these help erase the barriers presented by physical distance.
