Emergency responders pay tribute to healthcare workers

Coronavirus Watch Kentucky

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – There was a show of unity Thursday night among emergency responders at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.

Dozens of emergency vehicles gathered outside to show their support for healthcare workers.

Ambulances, fire trucks and police cruisers paraded around the hospital while flashing their lights.

“Healthcare workers in general, law enforcement, EMS, fire, they’re working tirelessly, selflessly during this pandemic to take care of communities, to take care of our families, and to take care of each of us,” said Stephanie Rutter, global medical response regional director.

A total of 33 emergency vehicles took part in the tribute.
