Hopkins County Jail on lockdown as more inmates contract COVID-19

MADISONVILLE, Ky (WEHT)– The Hopkins County Jail is on lockdown. Jailer Mike Lewis says several more inmates have tested positive for COVID-19.

Earlier this week, at least 40 inmates were quarantined after two inmates tested positive for COVID-19 last Thursday, August 19.

The jailer says they are trying to prevent a full-blown virus outbreak.
