Ky. (WEHT) — Gov. Andy Beshear mentioned Henderson’s Kroger testing site during his daily briefing Tuesday.

He says Kentucky’s testing capacity has increased, and only 24 people went through the Henderson site during its first day of opening. The Green River District Health Department is also offering testing in Henderson this week.

Beshear addressed Sunday’s protest rally and the effigy of him displayed. He condemned it and says he will not be afraid or back down.

“Being governor in this pandemic means I have a responsibility to lead … I have to face adversity without losing my values. I can’t act like those that try to take me off course and those that try to bully all of our families. So I will not be afraid. I will continue to do the right thing,” Beshear said.

Beshear says safety protocols will be looked at, but he will not move out of the Governor’s Mansion.
