Laid-off flight attendants retraining to help hospital staff in Europe

(WEHT) — Due to COVID-19 many airline workers in Europe who are out of work are now retraining in order to help hospitals with the pandemic.

Crews from Scandanavian Airlines are now in Sweden and Norway undergoing training. The courses build on the crew’s existing medical emergency training already required for their profession.

According to the World Economic Forum, the pandemic has already cost the airline industry $880 billion so far.
