Masters Tournament postponed

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WEHT)- Chairman of the Augusta Golf Club, Fred Ridley announced that the annual Masters Tournament has been postponed due to concern of the coronavirus.

The postponement also affects the National Women’s Amateur tournament and the Drive, Chip, and Putt National Finals.

At this time, there is no timetable for when the tournament could be rescheduled. The news comes less than a day after the next three PGA Tour events were canceled.

Right now, there are not any confirmed cases of coronavirus in our Tri-State area.
