EVANSVILLE, Ind (WEHT) The downtown Evansville Economic Improvement District is now regularly disinfecting surfaces in the downtown area.

The EID announces Monday the beginning of a district-wide disinfection regime to combat the spread of the COVID-19 Corona Virus.

Following Center for Disease Control and Prevention protocol, a mixture of bleach and water will be sprayed onto surfaces in public areas and use, such as benches, trash cans and railing along the green way. The process will be followed each Monday and Friday until further notice.
