Warrick County Coroner shares news of more Signature HealthCARE COVID-19-related deaths

WARRICK COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) — The Warrick County Coroner Sarah Seaton tells Eyewitness News that more people have died from COVID-19 at Signature HealthCARE in Newburgh.

This brings the total number of Signature HealthCARE deaths to nine, and one additional death in Warrick County.

The coroner says some of the additional victims were an 81-year-old woman who had other medical issues, a 66 -year-old woman, and a 90-year-old woman.

 “I cannot imagine the heartache the staff and leadership at Signature feel right now,” said Warrick County coroner Sarah Seaton. “As a former LTC nurse, my deepest sympathies go out to those who cared for each of these individuals.”

Seaton says some died at the nursing home, while others died at hospitals in Vanderburgh and Warrick Counties.

More than 30 people have tested positive for COVID-19 at Signature HealthCARE.

Sources tell Eyewitness News there are several pending coronavirus cases at the Signature HealthCARE facility, following retesting.
