HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) Henderson County School officials say they have a plan of action in place in case the coronavirus comes to the Tri-State.

That plan can be found on their website.  The plan outlines their communications, campus access, community gatherings, field trips, school operations, cleaning procedures, and school closure in response to this situation.

Principals and school administrators continue to work with staff to make sure all of their buildings and buses are clean and disinfected, and students and staff are being reminded of proper handwashing techniques and the CDC guidelines:

  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. If soap and water are not available, an alcohol-based hand rub may be used.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth. Germs spread that way.
  • Try to avoid close contact with sick people.
