The Posey County Coroner’s Office releases the identity of a body found in the Wabash River.

The coroner’s office identified the body as Richard Little, 43, who was reported missing from New Harmony.

The coroner’s office tells Eyewitness News the autopsy was performed Monday and the findings are still under investigation.

While the cause of death is still pending, the coroner’s office does not suspect foul play.

Little was being sought by police in late April as a person of interest in an investigation concerning stolen money from the Working Men’s Institute, a public library and museum in New Harmony.

An autopsy for a body found floating in the Wabash River Saturday night is scheduled to take place Monday.

Indiana conservation officers are handling the case after the body was recovered from the Wabash River around 9:30 Saturday night.

We’re told a fisherman was upstream from the Harmonie State Park boat ramp near Mink Island when he discovered the body.

Foul play is not suspected.
