Crews Respond to Vacant Home Fire

A vacant house billows smoke Monday afternoon.

This happened just after 3:00 p.m. in the 1200 block of Judson Street near downtown Evansville.

Fire crews were called after a report of smoke coming from the home. We’re told there were no flames, just a lot of smoke.

A firefighter did go to the hospital after getting glass in his hand.

Fire officials say the homeowners do not live there, but are remodeling and they have had a problem with break-ins.
