EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – A standoff in Evansville resulted in two arrests last night. According to Evansville Police, the incident began around 10:15 p.m. at a hotel on Green River Road.

Officers say a caller reported that Chas Bard, 31, got into an argument with his girlfriend and refused to leave. According to police, Bard left the scene after the 911 call, and they learned from their records that Bard had a felony warrant out of Kentucky.

Police located Bard at a home in the 3600 block of Covert Avenue. When police arrived, they say Bard ran into the home and refused to come out. According to an affidavit, police learned that Bard was inside the home with another man, Darrius Robinson, 26. The owner of the home told police they had an active protective order against Robsinson, and they were unsure how he got inside. Police say Robinson also had an outstanding warrant out of Vanderburgh County.

Police say that after negotiations, both men surrendered peacefully and were taken into custody. In addition to charges for his outstanding warrant, Robinson was also charged with residential entry and invasion of privacy. Both men were booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail.
