EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Two women were sentenced Monday for their roll in an Evansville murder case.

Gracie Smith and Lakeysha Couto both pleaded guilty to assisting a criminal earlier this year.

Both women were sentenced to probation after time served.

Authorities said 23-year-old Kimra Miller was murdered at home in the 1600 block of S. Garvin St. in late May of 2019.

Miller’s body was found in a field behind Ellis Park in July. Police said Couto and Smith helped Ciarra Landfair move Miller’s body from a home in Evansville to that field.

Landfair was sentenced to 45 years in prison for the murder last month.
