Donating to charity as simple as checking out a new set of wheels. Today, the American Red Cross receives a $2,500 donation.
It comes from D-Patrick, which donated $10 for every test drive at its Ford Lincoln dealership in downtown Evansville. D-Patrick President Mike O’Daniel says a lot of people stopped by to help out.
“We have had people in our service department who maybe wouldn’t have spent their time taking a test drive while waiting for their car,” said O’Daniel, “but chose to do that to raise $10 for charity. And we encourage people to do that.”
O’daniel says the fundraiser runs through the end of the year with a different charity on the receiving end each month.
