Heavy damage has been reported in Crossville, Illinois – along with reports of damage in northern Posey County and in Gibson County.
Eyewitness News has crews tracking the damage of the storms on Tuesday night.
White County (IL)
Update: The Crossvile Fire Chief confirms one man was found deceased at his home.
The White County, Illinois Sheriff’s Office confirms two homes were destroyed in Crossville and Johnson Farms was badly damaged. There are no reports yet of injuries or deaths. The sheriff’s office described the damage based on reports from his deputies and dispatch.
Houses have reportedly been damaged in Posey County, Indiana. Eastbound I-64 between Poseyville and Griffin was blocked. Posey County Sheriff’s Office says one lane is now open.
Damage has also been reported in Gibson County.
Power outages have also been reported in the Ft. Branch area.
Dubois County Dispatch confirms power lines are down at S.R. 56 between CR 500 & CR 550 West in Ireland. There are also reports of trees down in Ireland.
As of 12:39 a.m., S.R. 56 has reopened.
Our media partner News Now Dubois County reports that high wind in Ireland blew a roof off of a house. People were in it, but they weren’t harmed.
News Now Dubois County also reports that a tree fell on a propane tank near Ireland, and crews are responding to a leak as a result.
So far, though, no injuries have been reported in Dubois County.
