Daviess County, Ky. to limit access to some parks, facilities

News

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT)- A day after Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said he’s asking mayors and judge executives to monitor and perhaps close parks to limit the spread of COVID-19, Daviess County Judge Executive Al Mattingly said the Daviess County Fiscal Court will limit access to some public parks and facilities.

This affects baseball and softball diamonds, soccer fields, basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts, playground equipment and shelters. It will NOT affect walking paths, fishing lakes, green spaces, disc golf, and the Daviess County Gun Club.

Anyone with questions is asked to contact the Daviess County Parks and Recreation Department at 270-685-6142.
