The Daviess County Public Schools (DCPS) district will host a teacher recruitment fair from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, at Burns Middle School, located at 4610 Goetz Drive, in Owensboro
Job candidates should plan to arrive before 5:30 p.m. to ensure adequate time for networking.
Potential teacher candidates are invited to attend to meet school principals and learn about DCPS schools and employment opportunities.
Those attending are encouraged to bring copies of their resume.
Individuals will also have the opportunity to submit online applications at the event.
“We are looking for teachers who want to do something amazing with their lives, and nothing is more amazing and rewarding than changing the lives of students,” said Dr. Amy Shutt, DCPS assistant superintendent for human services. “We are changing lives every day in DCPS schools, and invite positive, dedicated educators to attend this recruitment fair to learn about opportunities to join our team.”
All DCPS schools will be represented by teachers and members of their leadership teams.
The event will also include refreshments and giveaways.
The Daviess County Public Schools district serves approximately 11,500 students in preschool through grade 12, with 12 elementary schools, three middle schools and three high schools.
