A Republican Gubernatorial candidate swings through southern Illinois days ahead of the November 4th election. On Saturday, Bruce Rauner stopped at Carmi Municipal Airport to greet supporters.
He’s challenging Democratic Governor Pat Quinn.
“I’m being attacked every day in the press by Pat Quinn, saying I’m a wealthy guy. You know what, I’ve worked hard and done good. Since when is it bad in America to work hard and do good? I’ll never apologize for it,” said Rauner.
The race has been air tight; as of Saturday there is no clear front runner.
