Deaconess celebrates the 10 year anniversary Saturday of a medical partnership that’s blessed the lives of parents and their children.
For a decade now, Deaconess and Riley Children’s hospital have partnered to provide pediatric services to kids in our area.
When Carrie Ellspermann’s son, Caleb, was diagnosed with diabetes, they were referred to Riley for treatment. Ellspermann says the partnership between Deaconess and Riley has relieved much of the stress the family has taken on with Caleb’s diagnosis.
“The fact that Riley is here, keeps us from making that trip up to Indianapolis every time for his check-up, it’s a big deal for us,” she said.
Caleb told us that even though he didn’t get to go trick-or-treating this year, his family did find some candy he could enjoy.
