Officials in Nepal say that now more than 8,000 people are dead from last month’s earthquake.

There are still nearly 300 people missing.

Tremors and aftershocks have been felt as recently as Friday following the April 25 earthquake.

Officials are still trying to get a handle on the scope of the damage.

It’s estimated more than 10% of Nepal’s homes were destroyed or damaged — almost 570,000 in all.
