Deputies: Woman shot at Hanson gas station during custody exchange


HANSON, Ky. (WEHT) – One person was shot in the hand at a gas station in Hanson. That’s according to the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office.

It happened at the Love’s gas station near I-69 just after 5:45 Sunday night. We’re told it started with an argument in the parking lot and ended with a woman shot in the hand. Deputies said it happened during a custody exchange.

Eugene Paul of Central City, 23, and Teagan Anderson of Evansville, 28, were arrested and booked into the Hopkins County Jail. They were booked on a wanton endangerment charge.

Deputies said there could be more charges when the investigation is finished.
