DNR needs help counting wild turkeys in Indiana

(WEHT) – Indiana’s Department of Natural Resources needs help counting the state’s wild turkey population.

Officials say they need reports from every county.

DNR is interested in the following:

  • Number of adult hens with the number of young turkeys
  • Number of adult hens without young turkeys
  • County and date of each observation

DNR officials say you don’t need to count male turkeys.
