Dogs adopted after 500 days in shelter

DUBOIS COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) — 500 days ago, two dogs were found abandoned and surviving on their own in Jasper. Today, those dogs are going home and they’re leaving just like they started: together.

The Dubois County Humane Society took in Rio and Sydney and have cared for them since August, 2018. Today, they held a celebration to say goodbye to the two pups and send them home with their new owners.

The staff lined the walk from the doors to their freedom ride, blowing bubbles and sending the pups off with hugs and well wishes.
