A driver is facing drug charges following a two-vehicle crash in Jasper.

Twenty-one-year-old Taylor Frick, of Vincennes, is charged with possession of meth, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and operating a vehicle without ever receiving a license.

The crash happened on Friday around 1:45 p.m. at the intersection of Leslie Dr. and Northwood Ave.

Jasper Police say Frick was driving north on Leslie Drive, approached the intersection, then drove through, disregarding the right of way and causing the collision with another vehicle.

Police say Frick’s vehicle left the roadway and hit a stop sign and street sign.

Both drivers refused treatment at the scene.

Numerous witnesses say Frick fled the scene of the crash on foot carrying a purse, but say she returned a few minutes later without the purse.

Officers checked the area, locating the unattended purse about a block away from the crash.

Jasper Police say they found meth and marijuana were located in the purse.

Frick was arrested and taken to the Dubois County Jail. She is being held on a $750 cash bond.
