Driver in Union Co. crash dies

According to the Vanderburgh County Coroner’s office, the driver in a Union County crash on February 28 has died due to complications sustained from the crash.

Robert A. Bluem, 35, died Saturday at Deaconess Hospital.

The investigation by Kentucky State Police is still underway.

According to authorities, the two people inside the vehicle both had warrants out for their arrest and were driving a stolen vehicle.
The crash happened minutes after a deputy attempted a traffic stop and the vehicle sped away, authorities said.
The passenger, 31-year-old Linda L. Smith-Bluem of Henderson, was pronounced dead on-scene by the Union County Coroner’s Office.
