A Hopkins County man is arrested following a year-long drug trafficking investigation. A narcotics unit has been investigating a large-scale drug trafficking operation involving the distribution of crystal meth.

Detectives say Ricky Tandy, Jr, 31, was the focus of the investigation after receiving tips that he was distributing large amounts of crystal meth in the area. He’s also accused of distributing the drugs in southern Indiana.

Detectives used multiple informants to conduct controlled buys of crystal meth from Tandy.

Tandy was arrested Friday and charged with four counts of trafficking a controlled substance.

When detectives searched the home, they seized crystal meth, marijuana, and a large amount of cash.

Tandy is being held in the Hopkins County Jail without bond.
