The murder case of an Evansville man returns to Vanderburgh County on Friday following a guilty verdict in Indianapolis.
The trial of Earl Martin was moved there due to pre-trial publicity.
He was accused of shooting and killing 22-year-old Christopher Hoefling and wounding another man during a drug deal in December of 2017.
A jury returned a guilty verdict late last month.
Martin will be sentenced in Evansville on Friday.
Martin faces another murder charge in a separate case involving the death of Erica Bradfield-Fox.
Police found her dismembered body in trash cans outside Martin’s Evansville home several days after Martin was arrested for Hoefling’s murder.
No date has been set for that trial.
