Easterseals cuts ribbon on renovated playground

News

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Easterseals Rehabilitation Center is celebrating 20 years with the completion of a new playground.

Holiday World and Toyota were among the major donors recognized at Wednesday’s ribbon cutting for the new play space.

Their donations allowed for extensive renovations to the center’s outdoor play areas and expanded curriculum for kids of all ages and abilities.

“There is artificial turf on the playground surface, no mud, no grass stains, no allergy issues, so we are able to use this space year round. There’s different play structures and different activities within the space.”

Easterseals first opened its Milestones Program on South Cullen Avenue in 1999 and last year it consolidated all of its early childhood programs into what’s now called the Easterseals Early Learning Center.
