EPD: Alcohol could be factor in three-vehicle crash in Evansville



A three-vehicle crash is under investigation after police say alcohol may have played a factor. The crash happened just after 6 p.m. at the intersection of Diamond Avenue and Fulton Avenue in Evansville.

Evansville Police say one of the vehicles rear-ended another car, causing a three-vehicle crash.

All traffic was down to one lane in both directions while crews cleaned up the scene. It took crews about an hour to clear the area.

There were two injuries in the crash, but the extent of those injuries are unknown.

Police say alcohol may have contributed to the crash.

A two-vehicle crash is causing traffic issues along Diamond Avenue in Evansville. The crash happened at the intersection of Diamond Avenue and Fulton Avneue.

Evansville Police and Fire Departments are cleaning up the scene. Both vehicles are being towed away.

Diamond Avenue is down to one lane in both directions. Traffic is backed up on Diamond Avenue.

Drivers should avoid the area, if possible.

It’s unclear if there are any injuries at this time.
