On Thursday the Evansville Police Department conducted a parole check that led to an arrest of two Evansville men.

Authorities observed a vehicle pull into a car lot at the time of the incident.

31-year-old Donald Mosher Jr. was the driver, with 23-year-old Jordan Shafer as the passenger.

During the parole check authorities say illegal items were spotted in plain view.

Mosher was reportedly driving on a suspended license.

Before the vehicle was towed from the property, authorities say a black pouch attached to keys was laying in the passengers seat. The pouch reportedly had two plastic baggies containing a crystal-like substance. The substance tested positive for methamphetamine.

Authorities conducted a search inside the vehicle and also found a green and black glove with a glass smoking device inside.

A black backpack was also found with what authorities say had a Crown Royal bag containing two plastic baggies of psilocybin mushrooms. A grinder and digital scale were also reportedly found in the backpack.

Mosher and Shafer were both arrested and lodged in the Vanderburgh County Jail.
