At a press conference Thursday afternoon, the Evansville Police Department said it will not reopen the case of Aleah Beckerle in spite of Thursday morning’s verdict, which found Terrence Roach not guilty of some charges.

Roach was found guilty of criminal confinement and abuse of a corpse.

However, Roach was found not guilty of five other counts he faced, including three counts of murder, kidnapping, and burglary.

Police said they will not search for another suspect in the case.
