Evansville kids encourage drivers to “Honk to end COVID-19”

News

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — An Evansville brother and sister are doing what they can to fight COVID-19 – and it starts with drivers honking their horns.

Graden and Gwynn Meredith are standing in their front yard on East Walnut Street in Evansville with signs that say “Honk to end COVID-19.”

“After coming home from work, and you know, some days are more trying than others, especially right now. When I come home and if they’re standing out here, you know, just seeing them out here smiling, it brightens my day,” mom Crystal Meffert said.

The two say after getting around 90 honks Tuesday, they stopped counting and decided to continue Wednesday for the fun of it.
