Evansville man facing five counts of child molesting

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – An Evansville man is facing five counts of child molesting after police say he had sex with a minor on several occasions.

Police say between August and October, 20-year-old Khirrek Morris met with a minor under 14 years old at her home and had sex at least three times.

The mother of the victim told police she found Morris hiding under the bed one night.

When the mother and the victim later found out Morris’s age, the victim told her mother that they had several sexual encounters. The mother then notified the Evansville Police Department.

The mother told police she was able to identify Morris after finding his Facebook profile.

Police say the victim’s parents had talked to Morris in October and he denied having sex with the victim and said he was just in the bedroom to hang out.

Morris was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail on Friday.
